Well, the regular season is finally ending. Hey guys, it’s Ari Alexander with the Texans newsletter, and we may not have too many more of these left - although we know we definitely will have at least a playoff one of these left. The Texans are out for revenge against a Tennessee Titans team that inexplicably beat them the last time out.

HOW TO BEAT THE TITANS

I mean...there are many ways. I don’t care that the Texans lost to them the last time out, this is a very, very bad team. They have a few good players - some skilled guys, and their interior defensive line is stout. But overall, there is a massive talent deficit between the Titans and the Texans. The Texans have 4 Pro Bowlers and at least two more players who should have made the Pro Bowl (Danielle Hunter & Will Anderson, Jr...like c’mon). The Titans had zero. There is no doubt they have some good players, but like I said - huge talent gap.

Their QB situation is a mess. Will Levis will start, but was recently benched after throwing 3 interceptions against the Bengals. They haven’t won a game since they beat the Texans. They have 3 wins total on the season. They are 0-2 vs. the Jaguars. They are not good.

AZEEZ IS BACK

Azeez Al-Shaair makes his return after a three-game suspension and will face the team he played on last year. Al-Shaair said he met with NFL officials in New York and cleared the air with Jon Runyan and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, which he said was productive for him after being in a “dark place” after the suspension.

Al-Shaair, along with Christian Harris is a pretty fearsome tandem at linebacker, although Harris is questionable.

INJURY REPORT

The defensive line is hit hard this week with injuries and the Texans will be missing Denico Autry and Folorunso Fatukasi. Shaq Mason is out at guard, but worrisome - Jeff Okudah is out. The Texans are already limited by injuries in the secondary missing Jimmie Ward and Jalen Pitre. They have their starting corners, but will have to figure something out at slot corner.

WHAT’S NEXT

The final regular season game Sunday at noon vs. the Tennessee Titans - who by the way, will be wearing their Oilers uniforms - so the Texans HAVE to get the win.
