HOUSTON – Houston Independent School District will host its first School Choice Fair of the school year, giving families a chance to explore neighborhood, magnet and specialty school options ahead of the district’s application window.

As an open-enrollment district, HISD allows families to choose the school that best fits their child’s academic and extracurricular needs. The fair is part of a series of events designed to help parents and guardians navigate the School Choice process and learn about the diverse programs offered across the district.
