3 people, including child, found dead in believed murder-suicide at Conroe home

CONROE, Texas – An investigation is underway after a man, woman and a child were all found dead Thursday afternoon outside a home in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said a family member called 911 after finding the people deceased on an open porch at a home located down a rural private road in the 11800 block of Crystal Creek. Investigators said deputies responded to the call around 3:45 p.m. and found all 3 people with gunshot wounds.

Authorities say the preliminary facts and evidence suggests the incident was a murder-suicide. A weapon was also recovered at the scene.

This is a tragic event. It will shock people’s conscience to see this kind of thing happening in our community and that our thoughts and prayers are with the family members, especially those that have discovered this horrible incident,” said Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle.

Neighbors expressed shock and concern over the rare and violent incident in their quiet neighborhood.

“It’s scary, it’s dangerous,” said neighbor Carlos Delgado. “Something like that happened too close to our house.”

Delgado added he has lived in the community for 20 years and has never experienced anything like this.

Sheriff’s deputies and crime scene investigators spent hours collecting evidence, describing the case as an isolated incident and assuring there is no threat to the public.

The names of the victims have not been released. Authorities are notifying family members as the investigation continues.
