Stuck train causing hours-long traffic between Southwest Freeway, San Felipe

HOUSTON – A Union Pacific train has been stalled for hours on the tracks, causing heavy traffic between the Southwest Freeway and San Felipe Street on Friday afternoon. The tracks are just east of the 610 west loop.

Union Pacific said its train is experiencing mechanical issues.

Crews responded and are on site, working to repair the train, so it can be moved as quickly as possible.

There is no estimated time on when the train will be fixed.
