Two men are dead following a crash on Westheimer Boulevard Thursday morning, Houston police confirmed.
HPD said the call came in at 5:44 a.m., and units arrived at the scene three minutes later at 5:47 a.m.
According to Houston police, the driver of a Jaguar lost control of his vehicle, smashing into the parking garage.
Minutes before the crash, Houston police said they attempted to stop a vehicle that was traveling on Westheimer, but lost sight of the vehicle. Moments later, officers were called to the deadly crash.
Investigators are working to determine if the vehicle involved in the deadly crash was the same vehicle officers attempted to stop.
Investigators are also working to determine if speed played a factor in the crash.
Although the roads are back open near the parking garage, drivers are still advised to avoid the area as officers will be on scene investigating.
