HOUSTON – Newark Liberty International Airport experienced equipment issues Thursday morning, causing nationwide flight delays, including at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, according to reports.
NBC New York reported a temporary ground stop was issued at Newark because of the issues. Although the stop has since been lifted, the Federal Aviation Administration said hundreds of flights across the country remain affected.

At Bush Airport, flights were delayed 15 to 30 minutes. Travelers heading to Newark faced delays of about 2 hours and 38 minutes, while flights to Reagan National in Washington, D.C., were delayed by 29 minutes, according to the FAA.
