The most recent incident occurred on Thursday, July 31, at a park in the 1900 block of Allen Parkway.
In this incident, the woman was walking in the park when the man approached her from behind while riding a bicycle. He then grabbed her fanny pack, which was attached to her waist, causing them both to fall to the ground. The man then stood up and kicked the woman in the stomach before taking her fanny pack and fleeing on the bicycle.
Police say the woman was pregnant and suffered a miscarriage as a result of being kicked in the stomach by the suspect.
Two other incidents happened on July 28 when two other women were inappropriately touched by an unknown man. The incidents happened at the 1000 block of Stude and near the intersection of a trail and Frasier Street at the Heights Hike and Bike Trail.
On July 10, a woman walking in a park in the 100 block of Sabine was touched inappropriately by the suspect while he was riding his bicycle.
Another woman was inappropriately touched by the man on June 17 while walking in her neighborhood in the 2100 block of Crockett.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set male in his mid-30s. He has brown hair and wore a red helmet, black and white shoes and had a navy blue or a dark green bike.
Walkers in the area say they are on edge.
“I fear for myself, I feel for my friends, for my family, for other women in our community who are just outside trying to get their fitness on and we can’t even come outside and feel safe,” said Jazmine Baires.
“It’s really unnerving obviously like this is a place where a lot of people come and I know it’s a nice place to relax so I just, it doesn’t make me feel happy that this is place that I like to frequent,” said Morgan Howell.
