Who is still missing after Texas Hill Country floods

Family members and officials continue to search for dozens still missing after devastating floods swept through the Texas Hill Country, including multiple children and adults from camps and homes in Kerr County and surrounding areas. As recovery efforts intensify, the confirmed death toll rises and new details emerge about those unaccounted for.

Camp Mystic

Family members have identified more than a dozen people presumed missing following Friday’s catastrophic flooding in the Texas Hill Country.

According to KPRC 2’s sister station KSAT, eleven campers and one counselor from Camp Mystic remain unaccounted for as of Sunday morning, Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha confirmed. The camp initially reported 27 people missing, but that number has since decreased as search crews continue their efforts.

Relatives have identified the campers to KSAT as:

  • Blakely McCrory
  • Eloise Peck
  • Greta Toranzo

Two children remain missing

A family of four, including an 8-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, vanished Friday morning after floodwaters tore through the home where they were staying. The parents, Tivy boys soccer coach Reece Zunker and his wife Paula,died in the floods,and their children are still missing, according to the team and the Kerrville Daily Times.

Two people, Richard Pagard and Carol Andrews, remain missing from the HTR TX Hill Country Campground, along with their 2-year-old dog, Poppy, according to Pagard’s son.

5 missing after attempting to evacuate Ingram campground

Five family members were last seen Friday while trying to evacuate HTR Campgrounds in Ingram, a family member told KPRC 2’s sister station KSAT.

A relative identified the campers missing as:

  • Tasha Ramos
  • Joel Ramos
  • Kyndall Ramos

Four people missing after a home in the 1700 block of State Highway 39 in Hunt, Texas, was swept away have been identified as Aiden Heartfield, Ella Cahill, Joyce Badon and Reese Manchaca, according to family members. All four are from Beaumont and graduates of Kelly High School.

In Kerr County, home to Camp Mystic and several other youth camps in the Texas Hill Country, search crews have recovered the bodies of 68 people, including 28 children, according to Sheriff Larry Leitha.
