Now open at 1120 Dennis Street in Midtown, the owners describe TAGO as a Tulum-inspired restaurant that doesn’t just serve food—it builds a whole experience. In other words, earthy tones, tropical plants, warm lighting, and a 2,700 square foot patio that encourages a laidback attitude.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Kristi Courtney, who has already made waves in the Houston culinary scene through popular restaurants like Uchi, The Dunlavy, and Rainbow Lodge. At TAGO, she continues to blend her Texas roots with Mexican heritage, and the result is a summer menu that somehow feels both grounded and adventurous.
