HOUSTON – A man has died after firefighters were able to get him out of a home on fire Sunday night, but he succumbed to the injuries he suffered.

The Houston Fire Department says it was called to a home on Quail Run Drive just before 8:30 p.m. in Missouri City. Initial crews were able to pull a man out of the home, who they said suffered serious injuries.

The man was then taken to Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center, where HFD says he died from his injuries.

It’s unclear what caused the fire, but HFD’s Arson Team is working to figure out what happened as part of their ongoing investigation.
