GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas – As storms moved through the Houston area Tuesday, a funnel cloud was spotted over Galveston County.
Colin Cundiff was driving on FM 2004 near FM 646, close to Santa Fe, when he spotted the funnel.
Video shows the white, rope-like funnel over open land.
Judging from the video, it does not appear that the funnel touched down.
The National Weather Service acknowledged receiving reports of funnel clouds Tuesday and said the environment is favorable for producing weak funnels. They are expected to be weak and short-lived.
