HOUSTON – Officials with the Houston Airport System say flight operations at Bush Intercontinental Airport were halted as a precaution after an unauthorized vehicle accessed a service road to the cargo area.
The incident happened just before 8 p.m., according to officials.
While we do not know if anyone was detained in the incident, officials say no one was hurt and no damage was done to the airport.
Officials say flight operations were halted so a security sweep could be done and officials could confirm the vehicle had left the secured area.
FAA Advisories confirm a brief ground stop took place at the airport. The ground stop has since been lifted.
