KPRC 2 Weather Team is tracking severe weather starting early Monday morning.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for SE Texas has expired, but we’re still monitoring the fast-moving storms that caused a messy morning commute for drivers.

The good thing is that these storms were fast-moving, which reduces the risk of any street flooding.

However, due to how early the severe weather impacted our metro area, the morning commute could remain very messy but should clear up around 10 a.m.

Not only is there a threat on your way to work though, but there is also a threat on your way home.
