School choice forum to help Houston families understand Texas’ new voucher program

HOUSTON – A non-profit will host a school choice forum Monday evening to help parents learn more about the state’s new voucher program.
EXPLAINER: Private school vouchers are now law in Texas. Here’s how they will work.
The Frederick Douglass Freedom Alliance (FDFA) will host the forum at the Christian Bible Church in Missouri City on Texas Parkway, right down the road from the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road.
It will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. when bipartisan state legislators, local educators, and parent advocates will break down the school voucher program.

It’s free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged . Dinner will also be served.
