Man dies hours after being shot multiple times in parking garage near Galleria

The man who was hospitalized after being shot in the Galleria area of Houston yesterday has died from his injuries, but his killer is still at large.

The shooting occurred near 5000 West Alabama Street at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 3.

The identity of the victim, a 30-year-old man, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Officers responding to reports of a shooting in a parking garage. Upon arrival, they located a man who had been shot multiple times.

Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. last night

Officers also observed a black Chrysler 300 with shattered windows from apparent gunfire fleeing the area. The vehicle was located nearby, and three men were detained, questioned, and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
