Houston police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian early Friday morning on the westbound Katy Freeway feeder road near Wilcrest Drive.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. when a person was hit and killed by a vehicle.

The westbound feeder road lanes at the Beltway were temporarily closed during the investigation.
At the scene, officers detained two men after administering field sobriety tests, though their involvement in the crash remains unclear. HPD has not released additional details.
By 5:45 a.m., the westbound feeder lanes began reopening.
The investigation is ongoing.
