A man wanted on six felony warrants out of Galveston County is now in custody after leading officers on a 20-minute pursuit that ended in a crash Monday afternoon.

The crash happened on FM 1960 near Bammelwood.
Officials say they were assisting U.S. Marshals in arresting the suspect when things took a turn.
The man was initially a passenger in a white Ram pickup truck driven by his adoptive mother. When officers tried to make contact, he slid into the driver’s seat and sped off, sparking the chase.
According to investigators, the suspect’s warrants include four counts of child endangerment, one count of aggravated assault, and one charge of evading in a motor vehicle.
The pursuit eventually ended when the suspect crashed. The man initially refused to exit the truck when ordered by deputies, but after a few minutes, he finally exited without further incident.
Ricky was able to obtain footage captured by a bystander showing the truck’s crash and authorities apprehending the suspect.
Officers say no bystanders or officers were hurt.
Both the suspect and his adoptive mother were taken to the hospital as a precaution, but police say they were not seriously injured.
Authorities confirm the suspect will now face additional evading charges out of Harris County.
