HOUSTON – Investigators said a man with a violent history is in custody following a chase in Houston where he struck several vehicles on Tuesday. The constable’s office said Chambliss had removed an ankle monitor and was out on a PR bond for a murder charge in Hays County, which is southwest of Austin. After roughly two years behind bars, Hays County District Attorney Wes Mau said Chambliss requested his $250,000 bond be reduced. Court records show a judge granted a PR bond with GPS monitor in 2019 “under extreme protest” from the prosecutor. Investigators said Chambliss could face additional charges in Harris County for the chase, but those details have not been released yet.

Investigators said the chase happened shortly before 3 a.m. on 610 near Mykawa when officers noticed a vehicle attempting a smash and grab at the Fiesta Mart. Authorities said the suspects drove a truck through this entrance and tried to steal an ATM but failed. According to police, the suspects wouldnt pull over and they went on 610 to 288 then 59 before exiting Collingsworth.
Woman accused of leading deputy constables on wild chase with child in vehicle
HOUSTON – A woman is in custody after she led Precinct 5 constable deputies on a chase while a child was in the vehicle in west Harris County Thursday, authorities said. Constable deputies said the chase began around 3:11 a.m. when authorities saw a vehicle that they believe was involved in a hit and run. When constable deputies attempted to make a traffic stop, the vehicle failed to yield, they said. 6 robbery suspects arrested after pursuit comes to an end in NE Houston, authorities say
HOUSTON – Six people have been arrested after a wild pursuit came to an end in northeast Houston Monday morning, Harris County sheriff’s deputies and Houston police said. Authorities said the pursuit started at around 2 a.m. in the 21900 block of Katy Freeway and ended in the 5300 block of Coke. According to authorities, suspects involved were in two different vehicles and had robbed a nearby pharmacy, taking two trash cans full of drugs. Investigators said authorities tried to stop the vehicles after the pharmacy was robbed but suspects then led deputies and police on two separate chases. Investigators said when the vehicles pulled over, all of the suspects jumped out and tried to get away on foot.
2 juveniles who led officers on high-speed chase believed to be tied to robberies: HPD
HOUSTON Two juveniles who led Houston police on a high-speed chase have been arrested. According to officers, speeds hit nearly 120 miles per hour during the chase. Police said the suspects eventually started to slow down and the two juveniles ran out of gas on the Gulf Freeway and Monroe. All of the lanes of the freeway were shut down temporarily, but officers quickly moved the scene over to a nearby gas station. Police said both juveniles will be charged with felony evading arrest, but more charges could be added.

Police said the crash happened at FM 565 and FM 1405 at around 12:30 a.m. It started in Pasadena, where police said an officer tried to pull a truck over for a traffic stop. According to Galveston Police, officers were attempting to make a traffic stop around 6:10 p.m. when the driver, identified as Julie Frances Blow, 58, refused to pull over. Galveston PD said Blow refused to get out of the vehicle, initiating a standoff with officers. Fiedler said she saw Blow driving at a high rate of speed, just minutes before the truck came to a stop. They were just going and going, and smoke is just piling up," she said.

Pregnant Woman injured after high-speed chase ends in multi-vehicle crash
HOUSTON – A high-speed chase in north Houston ended when a fleeing driver crashed into three other cars, sending a pregnant woman and another driver to the hospital. HOUSTON – A high-speed police chase in northeast Houston ended Thursday morning when a female robbery suspect crashed into a truck. The woman is accused of robbing a Subway restaurant on Jan. 10, police said. She and another woman allegedly cleaned out the cash drawer and threatened to kill an employee with a rifle, police said. The woman led the officers on a chase down the East Freeway, then onto the 610 Loop at speeds above 120 mph, police said. Officers continued to pursue the suspect, at which point she exited the freeway, driving at high rate speed, so officers continued in pursuit,” said Lt. Lewis Parker, with the Houston Police Department.
