It happened around 2:45 a.m. when sheriff’s deputies say the 18-wheeler, not carrying anything, was hit by a Union Pacific Train on Hildebrandt Road near Klein Oak High School.

According to Klein Oak HS’ assistant principal, the crash has had minimal impact on the school, but there are traffic backups along Hildebrandt to Grand Parkway that may cause delays for some students.

As a result, students are being given extra time to arrive.
