76-year-old man killed in hit-and-run in Spring, search continues for driver

Authorities are on the hunt for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a 76-year-old pedestrian Tuesday evening in Spring.

According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the driver took off right after hitting a pedestrian at Northcrest Village Way and Parham Circle. The incident happened between 7:45 and 8 p.m., and although the pedestrian was rushed to the hospital, he died shortly after arriving.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a 2016-2019 Chevy Malibu, which might be more noticeable is chrome moldings around the windows and silver wheels. The vehicle is also missing its right side mirror and has significant damage to the right quarter panel. It was last seen heading southbound on Northcrest Village Way, possibly turning eastbound onto FM 2920.

Investigators are asking residents and businesses to check any surveillance, doorbell, or dash camera footage from the time of the incident. They’re looking for any information that might help identify the driver.
