Man caught on camera stealing cigarettes, overpowering clerk at Houston store

Houston police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store twice in a matter of minutes on New Year’s Day.

On January 1, 2025, around 7:15 a.m., a man walked into a gas station in the 3200 block of South Loop West, grabbed several packs of cigarettes, and overpowered the clerk when confronted. Moments later, he returned to steal more items before leaving in a white Pontiac G6.

The man has been described by HPD as in his 20s to 30s, wearing a black jacket, black pants, and white shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for tips that lead to an arrest.
