2 Helps You: Dozens of Houston Couples Still Waiting Years for Wedding Videos from Local Company

HOUSTON – For many newlyweds, the memory of their wedding day is immortalized through photos and videos. But for at least 15 couples in Houston, those cherished memories are still out of reach—two to three years after their weddings.

These couples all hired the same photography and videography company, Adventures and Weddings, investing anywhere from $6,000 and $10,000 each to capture their special days.

While most received their photos, many say they’re still waiting for the videos—something they describe as the most important part, especially in their South Asian communities.

“I can’t actually see the day I truly got married,” said Anisah Islam, who has been waiting two years for her wedding video.

Anisah says she’s missing the entire video from her legal wedding ceremony and has recently been unable to get in touch with the company. “The numbers are blocked. There’s no response,” she added.

Contracts reviewed by KPRC 2 show some with specific delivery dates and others without, although some couples were given estimated timeframes via text—those dates have passed.

The contracts also include clauses allowing for extensions due to technical issues or acts of God and offer partial or full refunds if deliverables cannot be provided. But none of the couples we spoke with have received any refunds.

“Money hasn’t been given back to anyone yet,” said Moshood Choudhury, who is also still waiting on his wedding footage.

Last month, Adventures and Weddings notified clients via email that it was temporarily shutting down. The company offered two options: receiving raw footage or accepting a new delivery date. But according to couples, neither promise has been fulfilled.

Many say the missing videos are more than just keepsakes—they’re crucial for family members, especially elders overseas, who couldn’t attend the ceremonies.

“We have grandparents who are no longer with us, and they never got to see the video,” said Anisah Islam.

In response to our inquiry, the owner of Adventures and Weddings said that a hard drive containing the missing footage has been sent for repair, and the videos will be delivered once the data is recovered.

We’ve also reached out to the data recovery company mentioned to verify whether it has a case open in his name, and they confirmed an open case.
