A 15-year-old boy is in custody, charged with the murder of a 14-year-old boy near Conroe. The incident unfolded early Saturday morning around 1:00 a.m., in the 11900 block of Douget Road.

Deputies say the young victim was lying in the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds when they arrived. Despite their efforts to save him, the 14-year-old died at the scene.
Investigators quickly got to work and identified a 15-year-old suspect from Conroe.
A warrant for his arrest was issued, and a search of his home led to two other suspects: 19-year-olds James Fuller and Mason Goodwin, also from Conroe.
The juvenile suspect was taken to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center, where he’s facing a murder charge. Fuller and Goodwin were arrested without incident and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on the same charge.
Sheriff Doolittle called the crime “heartbreaking” and “senseless,” praising the quick work of his deputies and the District Attorney’s Office in apprehending the suspects.
While the deputies say the investigation shows the shooting may have been linked to a personal dispute, the full motive is still being looked into.
