A bomb threat led to the evacuation at H-E-B Saturday afternoon in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The store has now reopened.
Officials say the call came in around 2:43 p.m. at 9503 Jones Rd, with someone phoning in a threat directly to the store.
As a precaution, everyone inside was asked to leave while deputies and K-9 units worked to clear the building.
Deputies set up a perimeter around the store. K-9 bomb detection teams are actively sweeping the area, but so far, there’s no confirmation that anything suspicious has been found.
