Ward’s selection makes him the third quarterback the Titans have drafted as a top 10 pick in the NFL Draft since 2000, joining Vince Young (third overall in 2006 out of Texas), Jake Locker (eighth overall in 2011 out of Washington) and Marcus Mariota (second overall in 2015 out of Oregon).
Ward will join an AFC South division featuring three other young quarterbacks: Houston’s C.J. Stroud, Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence, and Indianapolis’ Anthony Richardson.
