Jaguars trade up to No. 2 overall pick; draft 2024 Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter

Today’s draft didn’t take long to get crazy.

As Miami’s Cam Ward was announced as the No. 1 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans, the Jacksonville Jaguars were announced to have completed a trade up for the No. 2 pick, which was owned by the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns sent the No. 2, pick, a fourth-round pick and a sixth-round pick to Jaguars in exchange for the fifth overall pick, a second-round (No. 36 overall) a fourth-round pick and next year’s first round pick.

Just two picks into the draft, the Houston Texans have two 2024 Heisman Trophy finalists (including the winner) in their division.
