Photos from the scene shows what appears to be a shattered window at a nearby McDonald’s.

Police at the scene say they were told one of the individuals was involved in a road rage incident off I-10.

The man who was shot, a man driving a pickup truck, followed a blue car to the location where the shooting happened, according to police.

“The individual in the truck gets out and starts banging on the little blue car’s driver’s side window. At that time, the driver, our suspect inside the blue car, shoots two times through the window,” said Lt. Wilkens with HPD.

The man was struck in the chest and went inside the McDonald’s for help.

The suspect remained on scene until police arrived. He was taken into custody.

Wilkens says the man who was shot should survive his injuries.

Police are waiting to see if the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepts any charges in the case.
