It happened just after midnight on April 1 at an apartment complex on Northborough Drive in north Houston. Investigators say the child was inside his home when several gunshots rang out outside the building. One of those bullets went through the wall and grazed the boy.
Thankfully, he was taken to the hospital, treated, and later released in stable condition.
Now, detectives are hoping to speak with a man captured on surveillance footage near the scene. He hasn’t been charged, but police say he may know something that could help with the case. He’s only described as a Black man wearing dark clothing.
If you recognize him or know anything about what happened, you’re asked to call the HPD Major Assaults Division at 713-308-8800. You can also stay anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
