A small plane made an emergency landing in a field near the intersection of FM 441 and FM 3086 in Wharton County Friday morning.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed a Grumman Ag-Cat, a crop duster built for farm work, landed in a field near Danevang around 10:45 Friday morning. The FAA says only the pilot was on board, and they’ll be looking into what happened.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, there were no injuries reported.

Authorities confirmed the plane came down safely in a field, and the scene is being monitored. A helicopter has been dispatched to assist in the investigation and response efforts.
Wharton County DPS stated that updates on the situation will be provided through their social media channels as more information becomes available.
The cause of the emergency landing is under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
