Federal agent involved in shooting outside Del Papa Food Store; Woman hospitalized

A federal agent-involved shooting is under investigation in southwest Houston, where a FBI agent shot a woman in the parking lot of the Del Papa Food Store off Milan Drive.

It happened around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday. According to the Houston Police Department’s Command Center, the initial call came in as a shooting at 13799 Milan Dr.

While HPD officers responded, they’re mainly on scene to assist with securing the area.

FBI Houston leadership is at the scene, and authorities confirmed the suspect—a woman—was shot and taken to the hospital. Her condition hasn’t been released yet.

Several eyewitnesses tell KPRC 2 News the woman was carrying a machete.

HPD Lt. Crowson said no officers were injured in the shooting.

The exact circumstances leading up to the gunfire haven’t been made public, but the investigation remains active.
