Over the weekend, a constable from Mark Herman’s Office helped save a child who fell into a pool and stopped breathing.
The call originally came in for Harris County Sheriff’s Office, but due to the distance they wouldn’t be able to arrive on time. Which is when they asked Precinct 4 for assistance.

The officer who was first to arrive at the scene in the 20100 block of Schiel road was Corporal Elizabeth Garcia.
When she arrived at the scene, immediately she jumped into the pool, making the decision to help pull the child out and immediately start CPR.
The child was brought back to consciousnesses and transported a local hospital.
Officer Garcia will be credited for saving the child’s life.
