“It was a very chaotic scene at first. They estimate there was approximately 100 people in this parking lot,” said Sheriff Ed Gonzalez with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Seven people, including five men and two women, were shot.
The victims were between the ages of 16 to 25.
One person died at a hospital.
Two of the victims were flown to hospital by LifeFlight.
No one had been arrested, and the motive was under investigation.
“It wasn’t anything violent that seemed to be happening. It just seemed that people were gathering here. We’re told it may have been for some type of benefit for someone, that they may have been raising money. Everybody just seemed to be having a good time,” said Gonzalez.
