HOUSTON, Texas – Gallery Furniture, owned by beloved Houstonian Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, announced the closure of one of its Houston-area stores.

The blowout sale will feature furniture pieces marked down by 30% to 70% at all three locations and online, as a way to show appreciation to customers.

Gallery Furniture has two other locations, including the original store on I-45 and Richmond.

The reason behind the showroom closing is not clear, and the company did not issue a date as to when it will officially close its doors.

Mattress Mack, who underwent open heart surgery last year, is hailed a hero in Houston for his philanthropy and his love for Houston sports teams.
