The woman said she then grabbed the driver’s side rail handle while the car was moving, and Iyere was punching her in the face.

Iyere ended up crashing the vehicle into a brick wall, but he still refused to stop until the woman offered him money.

Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said Iyere handed the woman her purse and she quickly grabbed a knife and defended herself.

Iyere then exited the woman’s car and fled the scene on foot.

Deputies later caught Iyere and arrested him.

Iyere, 26, has since been charged with aggravated robbery. He was booked into Harris County Jail and handed a $20,000 bond.
