Man stabbed to death after argument at Popeyes in north Houston

A man has been detained after being involved in a fatal stabbing of another man on Houston’s northside.

The incident occurred just before 7:45 p.m. at a Popeyes in the 9400 block of Jensen Drive in north Houston.

Sources tell KPRC 2 that the victim was dead by the time authorities reached the scene. His identity has not been released, but HPD officials said he is a man in his 50s.

The two men involved reportedly got into a dispute that turned physical, leading one man to stab the other.

Authorities detained a person who matched the description of the suspect, who was also a man in his 50s. He has been taken in for questioning.
