Rockets hold Curry to just 3 points, take down Warriors in gritty, physical 106-96 win

With the NBA Playoffs just around the corner, the red-hot Houston Rockets earned a tough win against a potential postseason Western Conference opponent.

The Rockets gutted out an impressive 106-96 win over the Golden State Warriors. The win included a 23-9 scoring run in the fourth quarter.

Dillon Brooks, who was coming off of a one-game suspension, led the Rockets in points, scoring 24. Jalen Green added 21, which included a 10-point frenzy in the fourth quarter that helped put the game out of reach.

The Rockets also contained Warriors’ star point guard Stephen Curry. He was on fire heading into tonight’s contest, scoring 52, 37 and 36 points across his last three games. The Rockets held him to just three points in 33 minutes on the floor tonight. He shot 1-of-10 from the field.

The win lifts Houston to 52-27 on the season. The Rockets have a comfortable four-game lead for the 2-seed in the Western Conference.
