Harmony has awarded over $12 million to its teachers in 2025 alone. The TIA aims to help teachers remain in the classroom to help create ways for them to earn salaries of up to six figures.
Established during the 86th Texas Legislature in 2019, the fund will be rewarded to highly qualified teachers. A recent discovery by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) during the 2023-24 school year revealed that the retention rate for designated teachers at Harmony exceeded the statewide average by eight percentage points.
With the school continuing to increase its TIA payouts each year, In August the district plans to distribute bonuses to nearly 1,200 teachers, with some educators receiving more than $20,000 in annual bonuses.
The latest TIA initiative is set to attract teachers from outside the Harmony system who are seeking new career opportunities. In addition to retaining their existing TIA bonuses, newly hired teachers at Harmony will receive a sign on bonus ranging from $1,500 to $10,000. The final amount will depend on the teacher’s TEA level and the agency’s assessment of the campus’s level of need.
A full list of campuses and their corresponding sign-on bonus amounts by designation level can be found here.
