Houston police investigate death of man found beaten in Montrose

Houston police are investigating the death of a man who was found dead after suffering blows to the head in the Montrose area.

The 68-year-old man was found in a parking lot in the 2100 block of Montrose Boulevard at about 11:20 a.m. on March 8. The victim’s identity has not been made public at this time, as officials are still working to notify family members.

Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to Ben Taub Hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased on March 31.

On Wednesday, April 2, an autopsy performed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences discovered blunt force trauma on the victim’s head. HPD homicide investigators were then notified.
