The husband in his 50s went to their garage with his gun, saw the garage door was open and someone was sitting inside his wife’s car.

As he went to confront the man, police said the man got out of the car.

“Our homeowner is telling him to stop. They’re close to each other. It’s very dark. Our homeowner cannot see the hands of this individual. He made some very quick movements, our homeowner shot twice, striking the suspect in the arm and in the leg,” said Lt. Willkens with the Houston Police Department.

That man was taken to the hospital and was expected to recover and face burglary charges.

The homeowner was not facing charges.
