HOUSTON – An unlicensed after-hours club in Northwest Houston was shut down after a raid early Saturday.
The Houston Police Department, along with The Harris County District Attorney’s Office, TABC and other agencies raided the business known as The Library on TC Jester and the North Loop at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators said the club had no business permits, no alcohol permits and no type of license to operate.
“I just want the citizens of Houston to know the Houston Police Department is dedicated to taking back the community. These types of establishments behind us contribute to increased DWIs and violent assaults against the citizens of Houston,” said Assistant Chief James Skelton.
Law enforcement officers arrested multiple people inside the business.
Their charges are unknown.
“We’re going to work to close businesses like this around our community because they are the crime drivers,” said Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare. “This is the beginning of an operation that we’re going to continue every single week until we get to take back our streets from organizations and crime drivers like this.”
