Leticia Caballero Guadarrama, 53, was deported on March 13 after being held at the Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, Texas. ICE agents transported her to the Laredo Port of Entry, where she was released into Mexico.
Six illegal entries, six deportations
Caballero has a long history of illegal entries into the U.S. She was voluntarily returned to Mexico in 2002, and then deported five times between 2003 and 2010. Now, after her latest removal, that count is up to six.
Her time in the U.S. wasn’t without controversy. Caballero has been convicted of 14 crimes while in the country illegally, including:
- Six DWIs (2004-2024)
- Six theft charges (2003-2021)
- Two counts of refusing to provide identification (2006)
ICE official calls her actions “shocking”
ICE Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford didn’t hold back in his response.
“I have served in law enforcement for more than 30 years, and few things surprise me,” Bradford said. “But the level of disrespect this criminal alien has shown for our system of laws and the brave men and women who risk their lives every day to uphold those laws is shocking.”
Beyond her repeat offenses, Bradford pointed out that Caballero put others at risk.
“After repeatedly entering the country illegally and getting behind the wheel intoxicated, she has victimized hard-working Texans over and over again by stealing their money and property,” he said. “Her actions endangered everyone in the community and have wasted significant taxpayer-funded government resources.”
