HOUSTON – Authorities say a small plane made an emergency landing on a road in East Houston Wednesday evening.

According to Houston Police, the incident happened in the 1900 block of Fidelity Street. This is in the far eastern part of Houston.
HPD says the Cessna was on a training flight out of west Houston and was returning from a loop down through Galveston when it lost power.
The plane was able to land safely on the street without hitting anything.
The Houston Airport System said the Cessna 182 declared an emergency around 9:05 p.m. and was rerouted to Hobby but ended up landing before it could make it there.
Two people were on board the aircraft.
No one was injured in the incident.
The NTSB and FAA will be investigating the incident.
