Uber driver shot while dropping off passenger near Texas Children’s Hospital

A shooting near Texas Children’s Hospital left an Uber driver critically wounded after an unknown suspect opened fire on the vehicle late Tuesday.

The shooting happened on the 7300 block of Main Street near midnight when an Uber driver was attacked while dropping off a passenger.

The driver, a man in his early 40s, sustained gunshot wounds to his collarbone and leg, while his passenger suffered a minor injury to his thumb.

After the shooting, the driver managed to drive two blocks to Texas Children’s Hospital, where he was treated before being transported in critical condition.

The passenger stayed at the scene to assist authorities. Police have no suspect information and are still investigating the motive behind the attack.
