14-year-old Serenity Baker identified as victim in Killeen middle school stabbing

KILLEEN, Texas – The 14-year-old girl who died after being stabbed at Roy J. Smith Middle School on Monday has been identified as Serenity Baker.

Details of the Incident

Authorities report that Serenity was involved in a dispute with another 14-year-old student when the stabbing occurred. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Serenity later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at 12:21 p.m.

Suspect in Custody

The 14-year-old suspect, also a student at the school, has been taken into custody. Due to the ages of both individuals, their names have not been released.

Family and Community Mourn

Serenity’s family has expressed heartbreak over the loss of a bright young girl who had a promising future. As the community rallies to support her family, a donation fund has been set up to help cover funeral expenses.
