The Houston Botanic Garden’s Bayou Blues Festival happened on Sunday, and it was a jam-packed day of music and fun.

Presented by BKV Energy the event took place near the banks of Sims Bayou during the vibrant bluebonnet season, offering an afternoon filled with soulful, roots music.

The festival included performances by Lindsay Beaver, The Soul Supporters, Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King. The festival ended with “A Tribute to Texas Blues Women” featuring the Chambers DesLauriers Band.

In addition to the live music, attendees were also able to experience the vibrant bluebonnet field.

There were also bluebonnet-themed crafts, games, and face-painting. Visitors were also welcomed to shop from various vendors.
