HOUSTON – Get ready for two weeks of an extravaganza as Children’s Museum Houston kicks off itsSpring Break Blast’ from March 8 to 23, 2025!

The museum promises a whirlwind of hands-on activities designed to spark creativity and curiosity.

Expect mind-blowing science experiments that challenge the way you see the world, along with heart-pounding performances that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

But isn’t just about the fun—it’s a chance for families to make lasting memories while discovering the joy of learning together.

With a lineup of activities, there’s something for everyone, ensuring that no two days are alike.

Highlights of the Event

  • Human Hamster Balls (March 8-16): Experience the thrill of rolling in a giant hamster ball.

  • Electrifying Confetti Party (March 8 - 23): Join in on a daily confetti explosion that transforms the museum into a colorful spectacle.

Featured Events

  • Rock the Block Party (March 8): Minecraft inspired interactive activities, including a Video Game Truck, LEGO building, and gaming challenge with a giant video game controller!
  • Wickedly Dancing Through Life! (March 9 & 18): See Glinda and Elphaba from the musical Wicked, participate in a magical sing-along, and craft enchanted wands, slime, broomsticks, and witch hat keychains.
  • Super Mar10 Day (March 10): Celebrate Super Mario Day! Themed activities, including and mustache making activities, Turtle Talks, and join the Princess Peach song celebration.
  • Clifford the Big Red Dog (March 11): Meet Clifford, along with interactive storytelling, create your own stuffed animal, make wild animal ears, and discover ways animals camouflage in nature.
  • Animal Encounters (March 11 & 19): Slither, crawl, and leap into a reptile adventure! Experience a chance to get up close with reptiles from around the world.
  • Knight at the Museum (March 12 & 21): Step into a fairytale world filled with knights, princesses, epic quests, and sword battles. Plus an interactive puppet show and craft flower crowns, wands, and knight shields!

  • POP Goes Bluey! (March 13): Meet Bluey and Bingo! Also get a chance to make a Swiftie-inspired friendship bracelet, explore the science of bubbles with hands-on experiments, craft your own bubble wrap.
  • ‍20th Annual Pi Day (March 14): Celebrate the infinite, non-repeating number 3.14... with an annual shaving cream pi(e) fight starting at 1:59 p.m. (because the numbers follow 3.14159).
  • Xtreme Science Demos (March 14): A Science demo show featuring erupting elephant toothpaste, liquid nitrogen experiments, and explosive reactions
  • Festival of Colors (March 15 & 23): Celebrate Holi, the festival of colors, with a day full of Indian traditions! Enjoy hands-on activities, toss bright powders in the Gulal Color Fest, tie-dye workshops, and see a dance performance from Silambam Houston.
  • Under the Big Top (March 16 & 22): Experience aerial performances, ground stunts, juggling acts by Mr.Cirque, and hula hoop performance by Mad About Hoops. Also face painting, cotton candy making, create your own jester hat, take on the challenge of bobbing for apples and mini golf.
  • St. Patrick’s Day (March 17): Discover the legend of St. Patrick with an interactive story time, leprechaun scavenger hunt. Plus, craft your very own shamrock wand and slime.
  • Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles (March 20): Come dressed in your best Sonic-inspired gear and meet Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. You get a chance to take a picture, give them a high five or a hug and see the trio up close.
