League City police say 44 tires were stolen on Valentine’s Day, with an attempt made on a 12th vehicle.

On February 15, another attempt to steal tires from a Tesla was reported. Both cases have been inactivated due to a lack of leads.

Investigators say the building’s cameras were not recording, and the Teslas’ cameras were inactive as the cars were off. Nearby business cameras were also checked but yielded no valuable evidence.

Detectives are working with surrounding agencies to track similar crimes in the area. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the League City Police Department at 281-332-2566.
