According to Houston Police the firefighters had responded to a crash on the east freeway and interstate 610 and the firetruck was blocking two lanes of traffic during the investigation.
Investigators said a suspected drunk driver crashed into the back of the vehicle. All three of the firefighters were inside of the fire engine at the time of the crash, according to investigators. Their injuries and conditions are unknown at the time.
