HOUSTON – Does anyone else sometimes get in their car and double-check to make sure no one else is in there? No? Do I just watch too many movies? Well, either way, something like that happened to a Harris County constable deputy.

With the help of Harris County Toll Road Authority workers, the kitty was safely coaxed out and last said to be “in good hands.”

“The deputy is taking the cat to the vet for a check-up and, if no owner is identified, he plans to give it a forever home!” Precinct 5 deputies said in a statement. “Just another day of serving and protecting—both people and pets for our Precinct 5 deputies!”
