Man shot, killed in ‘family disturbance’ in W. Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is dead after the Harris County Sheriff’s Office says he was shot at a home in the Katy area Monday.

The sheriff’s office said it happened in the 3800 block of Brighton Springs Lane.

Deputies responded to a call for service at the location and discovered a man dead with a gunshot wound.

The sheriff’s office also told KPRC 2 the suspected shooter stayed at the scene and has been detained.

Other details on the incident are limited at this time, but the sheriff’s office described it as a “family disturbance.”
